Every year, one of our highlighted church activities every summer or before summer (depending on our schedules and availability) is our "church family day". This is the time when we go out and bond as a church. Since this year we had a graduating student in International Grace Bible School Bataan (IGBI), we decided to have our family day there.
Though some families were not able to join because of their work, we're still fortunate because we were able to explore and celebrate our family day.
So, what did we do during our church family day 2018?
Day1/4
On our first day, we traveled from Quezon City to Bataan. Since it was a holy week season, the huge people and the snake-like lines - Genesis transit in Cubao was not a surprise! I think we queued for almost four hours waiting in line just to get a ticket. After four hours of waiting, finally, we're heading to Bataan. When we arrived there, we took some rest and gained energy for the next day's activity.
Day 2/4
Early in the morning we woke up and prepared our food for the beach. We had our breakfast there and swam the whole morning.

In the afternoon on our second day, we're busy exploring the nature. Since Bataan is a province the other family they went to the river and wash their clothes and also nag swimming din, kasama ang aking anak na gustong-gusto maglakad sa kagubatan at lumangoy sa ilog.
Walang ganito sa Manila :) |
Ang saya-saya lang di ba? |
After lunch, Next activity we also had our women's basketball. I can't imagine even I had CS, still, I played basketball, lol! It was moms vs youth - but of course, the winner were the young people.
Day3/4
Nanguha kami ng kahoy sa bukid, and also had some bonding with our young people - it was pure FUN!
Operation kuha ng kahoy!!! |
The 3rd day also was the graduation day! Congratulations graduates 2018.
(Nilyn right and Roma on the left) |
While they're busy on their graduation ceremony, of course, my company we're busy in the dirty kitchen preparing for our graduation dinner banquet.
Make up by: Rica (One of our youth) |
Day 4/4
On our 4th day, we woke up early in the morning to start our day with devotion before going to the beach. Everyone, was so excited for swimming while I, one the other hand, was so excited for our team building activity lol. I wanted to enjoy the games and the team building, so after breakfast, the groupings begin.
I thought our game facilitators would group us by department like Youth VS moms VS dads pero nagkamali pala ako. heheh! Pero masaya naman kasi we're mixed. Before the games were started we put sunblocks on our face and arms para di mangitim :)
Larong nakakapagod pero masaya na bitin ;) |
On our first game, wé're all active and some of the group were competitive but in our second games OMG! hiningal talaga ako sa habulan takbuhan dahil sa putukan ng balloon.
Indeed, the Golden Shower Grace Gospel Church of Christ Family Day 2018 was a blast, full of experience, blessed by the Word of God and full of bonding.
Golden Shower Grace Gospel Church of Christ Family :) |
The purpose of our church yearly family day is to bond with our church families, refresh through the new environment and our activities and also help us to strengthen our relationship as a member of the church.
Do you have a spiritual family? or an organization? what are your activities?
I remember when I was a kid, we also have summer outing sa church. It was just a small church so madali i-organized. I think I was able to join 2 or 3 outings before we transferred to our new home. Nagutom ako sa Lechon. :)
ReplyDeleteAng saya naman. It's really nice that you get to bond with your church mates. :)
ReplyDeleteSnake-like lines out Manila on a Holy Week is an understatement. Baon na ng maraming pasensya. You have a closely bonded Church, Sis. It shows in your posts. May your fellowship go stromg and multiply.
ReplyDeleteWe recently had an outing as a church. There are no programs, just jamming and seimming and a lot of eating. 😂 It was great. These activities help us bond and have close fellowship with one another and other new brothers and sisters. 🙂 keep it up.
Ahhh! I still remember the games! hahaha.
