My zd's first Operation
It was Sunday afternoon, after our church service, when we opened the door, the neighbor's cat was approaching running straight and jumped up our family picture frame. The frame was broken and the frame glass are broke into small pieces! My Zd bear was there, Lemuel and I were clean the mess and made sure that nothing was left on the floor.
After a couple of minutes my zd bear went the area without his slipper and suddenly, he pointed on his left foot. When my husband checked his foot there's a broken piece of glass inside and my husband got it out.
After a week my toddler kept running and playing. One Friday morning after his bath, my husband checked his wound and he was surprised when we saw his wound na namamaga na and may nana na, we decided to take him to his pedia. When we got there the Doctor said that we need to operate him.
So the doctor started to give him an anesthesia. I think it's about 3 boosters of anesthesia. I really felt the pain he felt while my poor Zd was crying while he was being operated. And while we're hugging him I prayed to God, said sorry for what happened. I told myself that I promise to be watchful and alert for my Zd. Though it's not our fault but I know this is a lesson for us to learn.
After his operation I told my zd boy, "zd boy it's okay na" and he replied "okay na! bye! bye!"
The doctor gave him an anti-tetanus booster and antibiotics and referral for his x-ray.
I thank God that everything is well. After this experience, I realized that being a mother is really hard. Being a first mum, when your child encounter some circumstances that really makes you a better parents. And every experience that I've been through has always a lesson.
What is your unforgettable experience with your child?

Let me share this with you. THE HARDEST THING I did, was when I watched my boy, young boy running in the hallway, fall down. He didn't seem like he was hurt (but being the dad, a little pain is a BIG DEAL for me), and I stood there watching him cry. I said, "Anak, get up. You can do it."
ReplyDeleteIt's tough but you know what, they are going to experience much worse so might as well use negatives as a learning experience, and then it becomes a positive.

Yes I agree that the little pain is a big deal for the parents specially when our little one will get hurt. So being a parent we should be watchful and always keep our eyes on our kids.
DeleteI don't have a child yet and I can totally say that I cannot imagine how it must prick your heart to see your child get hurt. I understand how my mother gets really worried whenever I'm still out late at night.
ReplyDeleteYes that's right.. we should not underestimate our mother because they are the one who really get hurts if there is something wrong happen to her children.
DeleteTo be honest, we really thought you had him circumcised when you posted this on Facebook only to find out later that he had an a swollen wound. ZD is super Brave as always
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, even Joy andrada akala nya din, it's too early pa to circumcise him.

ReplyDeleteIt's too early pa to circumcised him, when he's five I think that's the right time :)
DeleteI don't have any children. But my parents always worry about me even though I'm all grown up now. So it never stops :). But it must be hard to have seen him like this and worry about the surgery! I'm glad all went well.
ReplyDeleteYeah being a parent we always worry our kid specially if something went wrong. Soon if your will become a parent you will understand :) Thank you and God bless :)
DeleteIt really takes courage to be a parent. Keeping an eye to your children is not only a responsibility but it's something you can't get rid of as a parent.
ReplyDeleteI agree sis! Sometimes it's tough but I know that God is always there for me, thanks!
DeleteYou know, as a parent, most of the time we blame ourselves whenever something bad happen. That's normal. I felt you there. Good thing everything is okay now.
ReplyDeleteMy unforgettable experience with my Ayvan? Also in a hospital - him confined for a week. It was the most horrible feeling as a mother.
aww, I thank God because my zd bear di pa naman sya na confine.
Deletemy mom always freaks out, when there's broken glass and she see's me without slipper.. That is very dangerous, especially when we have kids running around the house. they tend to get more careless than us adults.. Lol, I was once a victim of glass shard, unluckily because my mom is out.. but, I didn't got much wound, because of my thick foot.. Lol.. just kidding.. Keep the kids safe always.. Social media and SEO
ReplyDeleteIt's normal for us to become freaky or nervous specially when our kid get hurt. Oh, you make me laugh about your thick foot, lol
DeleteChildren at ZDs age tend to meet a lot of accident. I thought its the stitch on his forehead. But anyway, I hope your ZD also learned from the incident. This reminds me as well to always remind the boys to use their slippers ibside the house. Oftentimes, they tend to forget wearing one and there are instances that out of carelessness, I too or even the boys - Yael included- would accidentally break glasses.
ReplyDeleteyeah it's dangerous even when we're always there to stare them all the time. We should be watchful nalang at maging alert, nakakatakot.
DeletePlease don't feel like this is your fault! I remember the first time I hurt myself as a kid. I was four years old and I decided to touch an iron because I wanted to see what my mom meant when she said it was "too hot"! Of course I got burned and my mom felt bad. But it was not her fault at all and I was ok just like your son is OK!
ReplyDeleteIt's alright, it's out of hand naman. Good thing your boy is now doing fine. I just hope he gets pretty well soon.
ReplyDeleteaw that must be a painful experience for your kiddo but I'm glad his okay now...I don't know how will I response if I am in your situation.. i easily get paranoid kapag may ganito.. as in super panic ako.. i remember that incident with my little brother where his wound need to be stitched...mas natataranta pa ako sa kapatid kong bata haha
ReplyDeleteNothing this big has happened to us (God forbid), but even a fever already do alarm us. So I could just imagine your worry.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that's awesful. Glad he is okay now though. My husband would have been driving to the hospital if that happens to our children coz he panicks.
ReplyDeleteZD will endure more pain as he grows up. The worst part happened to my son was when he took the dog to the road for a walk. The neighbor called the Child Protector Services and knock on our road. It happened when we first move to this house. He is now 13 years old.
ReplyDeleteI can feel your pain being the mom. I'm sure no parent would ever want to have their child go through this. Unfortunately, it happens. I'm glad your kiddo is now good.
ReplyDeleteoh dear!!! Good to know that zd is okay now and now that because of the accident it is nobody's fault of what happened.
ReplyDeleteOh my! I'm glad ZD is okay now. Accidents really happen and it's hard to avoid them.
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate with the feeling of concern when your child is hurt. I'm glad that the worse is over.
