My Personal Experienced on How to Introduce Fruits to my ZD Bear

I'm a first time mom, and I would like to share with you on how I introduced fruits to my ZD bear.
My Zd bear is a picky eater, he loves to eat if he likes  the foods. Like you, it's tough for me to find what is the right food to give my Zd. But, as long as I can I want him to eat a healthy food just for him to maintain his daily diets.

My Zd bear started eating cereal when he was 4 months old. I tried the grilled rice with monggo and its really good for him. We know that four to six months old are the best time to start or introduce the solid foods for our child, it's because their digestive system can ready and handle solids.  But every child is unique and different I can't tell that your child also can start to solid foods as early as four months old like my ZD.

Zd's first fruit was the Canistel fruit. We have this fruit in our province when Zd was 4 months old. I still remember when I was still pregnant, every morning I walk along the farm and I always stare this Canistel fruit tree standing beside the road bearing the color yellow fruit that I really wanted to collect them all. If I were not a pregnant I'm sure I climbed it already and harvest all the fruits of
Canistel hahah!

Canistel Fruit (this photo was  taken last 2014)

What is Canistel fruit?
According to the wikipedia, the canistel grows up to 10 meters (33 ft) high, and produces orange-yellow fruit, also called yellow sapote, up to 7 centimeters (2.8 in) long, which are edible raw. Canistel flesh is sweet, with a texture often compared to that of a hard-boiled egg yolk, hence its colloquial name "eggfruit"

Nutritional Value:
Canistels are rich in niacin and carotene and have a fair amount of ascorbic acid. 100 g. of edible fruit contains 138 calories, 2 g protein, .13 g. fat, .10 g fiber and 36.69g carbohydrates. It also yields 26.5 mg calcium, 37.3 mg phosphorus, 32 mg carotene, 3.7 mg niacin and 58.1 mg vitamin C.

Here are some tips on how to introduce fruits to your child.

1. Let him/her taste
When my Zd is four months old, I let him taste all kinds of the fruits that we have in the house. The first fruit he tasted was the Canistel fruit. And I don't know if you're familiar on that fruit and he likes it. Second was mango and ponkan. I noticed that my Zd likes the fruits, specially those juicy fruits like mango, orange, water melon, pineapple and so forth through the reaction of his face and it's very exciting.

2. Give him  at least one fruit a day
Everyday I gave at-least one fruit a day for my ZD, why one? My reason is because sometimes my Zd bear has an allergic of some watery fruits so I tried the other one. Second, ayaw kong halo-halo ang kinakain nya na fruits a day and will cause him a stomach ache.

And as long as I can it is better to give my child at least 1 piece of fruit instead of giving him a candy, a biscuit, Ice cream. It's more healthy than that.

ZD bear loves the Grapes

3. Bring him on the fruit-stand
Every time I buy fruits I want to buy with my Zd and let him choose what he want and let him pick. And I discover that my Zd enjoys the fruits and he is excited. Bringing your child to the fruit stand since we don't have a fruit tree here in the city helps the child to explore and
get to know about more fruits.

The Papaya

4. Learning while enjoying the fruits
While my Zd's  enjoying the fruits he is learning too. I involved him in preparation and during the presentation I teach him  the name of the fruits, the colors, the shapes and the taste of the fruits.

The Apple
5. Don't force your kid to eat that so
Some kids are fussy with fruits and some are not. Moms may worry if their child will not to eat fruits or veggies from time to time.  But don't worry its not harmful. In the right time your kid will eat that fruit also. Don't force them to eat because it will cause them to hate the fruits but try to encourage them as well.

Before giving your child the fruits make sure it's clean, wash all the fruits. Guide your kid to reduce the risk of choking.

Fruits offer our child a variety of vitamins such as folic acids and Vitamins C. The benefits of eating fruits also it helps our kid to reduce the risk of cancers and heart disease.

Introducing fruits to your kids is like introducing vegetables also. Sometimes its tough but the best way that we can is to enjoy the fruits as a daily part of our whole family's diet.

Happy Kiddo!
So what are your child's favorite fruits?
I am excited to share it below momies :)
Thank you and have a nice day!

1 and 1/2 Hour Phone Talk to my Husband

Yehey! I didn't expect today that my husband would call me through cellphone.
Around 11:20 this morning he called me then he said they are passing here in the Philippines in the Island of Sulo, going to Singapore.

Voyage from Australia to Singapore would take 13-14 days and the expected date of their arrival will be this coming Tuesday. But Thank God because he is doing  good, even during their voyage we didn't have any communication. Sometimes, we wouldn't have any communication within one to two months but we're still thankful because God is faithful and He protects my husband.

This very short time talking to him for me its like a 1 month communication for us, and every minutes spent talking to him is very special for us and we're both happy. I always told him "na sana lagi nalang kayo daan dito sa Pinas love" hahaha! nakakamiss :)

After talking to him I was relieved, medyo nawala ang kalungkutan and also my Zd bear was able to talk his papa.

My husband said that maybe in Singapore he will come home na or either in India. If not, we will wait for the update from their office if when and where is their change crew.

After 9 months finally thank God my husband will come home.
I'm so happy and excited!

Open Rice Ph: Resto Review at Full Belly Craft Kitchen

The Open Rice Eat's A Date Event invited us again to visit and experience our first resto of this year. I love the location of our next Eat's a date resto review because it's accessible for us to get there.

Just two rides from my home and so far this is my first time to participate this event without my ZD bear because he fell asleep before I left the house and I missed every couple of minutes without him.

Being a Mommy Blogger, it is usual for us to attend the event with our kiddo and personally, being a mom it is more comfy for me if my kid is with me always as it's also our bonding time. Sometimes it's difficult because my ZD bear is active but it's a normal thing with kids, right? That's why I would like to apologize for the open rice staff if sometimes during the event my ZD bear is very active and loud. But as long as I can, I would manage and do the best just to make him calm and easy. I really appreciate your kindness and patience for us.

So, here we go! We arrived in Full Belly Kitchen as early as we could, and while waiting for the other bloggers and companions and while the staff are preparing our foods we had a chance to take a pictures.

The place was sakto lang, di masyadong malaki at di rin masyadong maliit ang space. The air conditioned was cool also and it's very comfortable.

The Full Belly Craft Kitchen

Look at that! I love the concept :)

They had a second floor also and it looks like an extension hall. The combination of white brown and orange will be the color of the interior. Tables and chairs are constructed from sustainable materials. LED lights will be used for lighting. It has brighter luminance, lower consumption rate and longer shelf life. Kitchen appliance are certified for efficiency. Meat, vegetables, fish are purchased from purveyors who use sustainable practices.

And you know what, back when I worked in ABS-CBN Ayala Parking, almost everyday dumadaan ako dito pero di ko talaga napapansin to. hehe! Thank you open rice :)

After 30 minutes of waiting, other bloggers finally arrived. We started the event with Ms. Ria, they  also serve foods and also Chief Kenneth introduced us the foods and the background of this resto.

Oh How the Years go by!

Happy prosperous and blissful new to everyone!

December is a family month because during this season we always find time just to be with our family and love ones. In a new year's Eve all family are intact in the house enjoying while preparing the the Noche-buena, and its a family fellowship, the others had a blast-full new year by making a funtastic activity with the games, kantahan dito kantahan doon, games dito and games doon!
The surroundings are full of joy and happiness and I'm so happy for them. And how I wish that everyday is always like that. Siguro ang gastos pero masaya naman di ba?

But whether we like it or not it's only once a year that's why we will make it as memorable and enjoyable as long as we can.

Celebrating without my love...

Though my husband he is away from us, and this is our first December without him since his job is the main reason I'm still thankful to God because he has a signal and we had a communication. That thing is one of the greatest gift for us that we can chitchat, talk and great each other during new years day.

My husband and my Zd boy

Celebrating with my parents...

Without my husband but I'm still thankful because my parents are with me this year, and we celebrates our new year as simple as we are.

Happy New Year!!!

Celebrating with my Zd boy...

Three days before the new years eve my Zd bear has fever, that's why we're not able to go outside from our comfort zone and gues what till new year he's not feeling well. But right now he is good and everything is fine.

But the problem was,  my Zd bear is scared in noise,  shouting, and specially firecrackers. As in that's my problem while the time is approaching and for him not to hear of any noise from the outside I play the loud music but still nakakarinig pa din sya, my poor Zd boy keeps hugging me and di talaga sya mapakali everytime na may naririnig syang putok, and after 20 mins finally nakaraos din kami at natapos din sa wakas!

Scene While the Other Celebrating the New Year!

There's so many things that I should be thankful for the year of 2015, because first God has been faithful to my family in all aspects in our life. Though there's a lot of roller coaster in life but all that ups and downs makes us a better person.

I'm so blessed with so many blessings last year I can't count it on my fingers, and the most special gift ever that God hath given me aside from the Salvation from Him was my family, that there are always there for me specially my husband :)

So how was your new year's celebrations? I'm excited to hear it from you!

Thank you and have a blissful NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!

5 Moments to Remember during the MBP's Christmas Party :)

This is my 2nd MBP event this year, my first was the Spooky Halloween in Tagaytay.
I'm so excited for this event and honestly I felt so nervous because it is my first time to attend this kind of event with fellow mommy bloggers. Knowing that my friend will not able to attend because she is in vacation in Davao so I have no choice but to go alone, so be it.

But day before the event, I thank God because Mommy Mhaan of Mommy Rockin' in Style approached me na sabay nalang kami puntang venue kasi medyo magkalapit lang kami, ang galing talaga ni Lord.

Here are 5 things moments to remember during this event.

1. Meeting Fellow Mommy Bloggers in Person
Bloggers meet on social media, we know them on the name of their blog sites, meet them on their fb, IG, Twittter, etc. But through this event, Mommy Bloggers have an opportunity to meet, shake hands, and greet them in person. So there were almost 50 mommy bloggers who joined this event and they are so beautiful and at ang saya-saya kasama at ka-chika.

2. Stepping-out from  the Comfort Zone & "Me time"
I'm a stay at home mom, so I'm always in the house 24/7 yeah, and I'm so happy because through this event I'm able to step-out from my comfort zone and socialize to other moms without our kiddos. Though my mind was always on my ZD because he is still a breastfed, di maiwasan na mag alala and this is my first time to leave him in the house na ganito katagal.

But its really a good experience kasi wala kang ibang iisipin during that time and stress-free.

3. Getting to know each other and having so much FUN :) ...
All mommies are adorable and beautiful inside and out, and during this time, I was chilling because the venue was so cold plus my heart was fast beating because each of us needed to introduce ourselves - feeling ko nasa recitation kami haha, but I conquered all and natapos din. Yay! I thank God because nakilala ko na ang mga mommy bloggers not just in their blog name on their site or pictures but finally in person. Nice meeting you  mommies :)

4. Enjoying the Place...
I actually love the place the venue of the event, though kahit medyo malayo ang nilakad namin just to find the Linden Suites but sulit naman pagdating there. They were so accommodating and they even serve us water, coffee, kahit yung coffe sa gilid lang namin and you can do it your self naman, and they are approachable.

Paglabas na paglabas ng elevator ito yong nagwelcome samin :) the Christmas tree and the food in the hallway :)

5. Gift Haul and Sponsors...
Hindi kami umuwing luhaan! haha. We came home with joy and happiness plus these bundle of gifts from our generous sponsors. Halos di namin kayang buhatin sa subrang dami.

I'm personally blessed because I became a member of this group, the Mommy Bloggers Philippines, kahit bago palang ako I really feel the belonging-ness. I never forget all the experience in this event, ang kwentuhan, tawanan, sharing of joy, family matters, businesses hahaha and many more. Thank you to all the people behind this organization that they really exerted their efforts and time  just to make this event successful. Looking for next year sana makasali ako ulit :)

The Mommy Bloggers Philippines “A Christmas to Remember” party was made possible by generous sponsors and a team of mommies who love this blogging community.

Thank you to The Linden Suites who not only provided us with a venue but also made sure we had a wonderful time by collaborating with their in house restaurant Mesclun to provide us with a lovely lunch.

Our venue at The Linden Suites, The Sky Lounge was beautifully decorated by Amari Events while our photos were taken by Casa Litrato.

Our generous sponsors, Fujidenzo, Zojirushi, Jolly, Lotus Biscoff, Frabelle, Robinsons Supermarket, Melawares, Wacoal, Philips, Cinnabon, Rebisco Vita Cubes, Fuentes Manila, Sun Villa Resort, Villa Del Conte Chocolates, Red Ribbon, Hotel Quickly, Shoppers Stop, Chelsy & Casey, National Bookstore and Starbucks for their support, giving us giveaways and prizes.

Experience Magical Ice Festival at the Big Dome

It’s that time of the year again. As Christmas fast approaches, a palpable sense of excitement fills the air with the return of an all time Filipino favorite – the annual staging of Disney On Ice at the Big Dome.

There is much to look forward to in this year’s show. Aside from world-class skaters who make up its talented ensemble, Disney On Ice presents Magical Ice Festival will feature Disney’s Academy Award® winning and number one animated feature film of all time Frozen, along with three Disney royal adventures!

“This year’s Disney On Ice is truly magical with Disney properties that are packed with heart and personality. We have princesses that are exuberant and strong-willed, but we’ve also expanded the roles of spirited supporting characters, so that they’re more prominent in the show,” says Producer Nicole Feld.

For the first time on ice, watch your favorite Disney stars Anna and Elsa, together with hilarious snowman Olaf, rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven in a magical winter adventure.

“The most exciting part of bringing characters like Anna and Elsa to the ice for the first time is knowing that they have a powerful and inspiring message the resonates with audiences as the sisters discover the true meaning of love,” says producer Nicole Feld.

Audiences will also enjoy comical segments with captivating stories of princesses Ariel, Rapunzel and Belle in a new twist of fairytale fun featuring Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Tangled, and Beauty and the Beast.

“By pulling together moments from classic Disney stories to the newest feature film sensation Frozen and combining them with elements of comedy and music, we developed a truly unique way to re-tell each fairytale,” says Producer Juliette Feld.

Dazzling costume designs, spectacular set elements, and jaw-dropping stunts are also what make this year’s show even more exhilarating.

In Beauty and the Beast’s “Be Our Guest,” the theatrical elements of the glitzy napkins and silverware costumes will astound audiences. “The costumes are designed to emphasize the overwhelming amount of table décor that appears in the movie. The napkins unfold to increase their size and the forks tower over the heads of the performers. This is a big moment for Belle; the costumes need to reflect that,” says Costume Designer Cynthia Nordstrom.

Moreover, lighting plays a crucial role in giving the overall production a truly magical feel.
“The colors really pull you into the different worlds of the princesses, but it’s how the lights are arranged that command your attention when the characters are performing their acts. For example, when the Daughters of Triton are introduced, the lighting individually highlights each of them. Your eyes follow the spotlights,” says Lighting Designer Sam Doty.

Experience Magical Ice Festival at the Big Dome from December 25 to January 3 and don’t miss the chance to see your favorite Disney stars LIVE! Buy your tickets via TicketNet online or call 911-5555 for more details.
