Open Rice Ph: Resto Review at Full Belly Craft Kitchen

The Open Rice Eat's A Date Event invited us again to visit and experience our first resto of this year. I love the location of our next Eat's a date resto review because it's accessible for us to get there.

Just two rides from my home and so far this is my first time to participate this event without my ZD bear because he fell asleep before I left the house and I missed every couple of minutes without him.

Being a Mommy Blogger, it is usual for us to attend the event with our kiddo and personally, being a mom it is more comfy for me if my kid is with me always as it's also our bonding time. Sometimes it's difficult because my ZD bear is active but it's a normal thing with kids, right? That's why I would like to apologize for the open rice staff if sometimes during the event my ZD bear is very active and loud. But as long as I can, I would manage and do the best just to make him calm and easy. I really appreciate your kindness and patience for us.

So, here we go! We arrived in Full Belly Kitchen as early as we could, and while waiting for the other bloggers and companions and while the staff are preparing our foods we had a chance to take a pictures.

The place was sakto lang, di masyadong malaki at di rin masyadong maliit ang space. The air conditioned was cool also and it's very comfortable.

The Full Belly Craft Kitchen

Look at that! I love the concept :)

"All You NEED is Love"

Interior Designs Tables
They had a second floor also and it looks like an extension hall. The combination of white brown and orange will be the color of the interior. Tables and chairs are constructed from sustainable materials. LED lights will be used for lighting. It has brighter luminance, lower consumption rate and longer shelf life. Kitchen appliance are certified for efficiency. Meat, vegetables, fish are purchased from purveyors who use sustainable practices.

And you know what, back when I worked in ABS-CBN Ayala Parking, almost everyday dumadaan ako dito pero di ko talaga napapansin to. hehe! Thank you open rice :)

After 30 minutes of waiting, other bloggers finally arrived. We started the event with Ms. Ria, they  also serve foods and also Chief Kenneth introduced us the foods and the background of this resto.

About the Full Belly Craft Kitchen

The Concept:
Full Belly Craft Kitchen is a casual dining restaurant that serves different kinds of belly in different cooking methods.

From Grilling, Roasting, Frying, Braising, to name a few, according to them, they believe that the belly is the most favorite parts of meat when it comes to cooking. Some of the recipes are classic but they decided to make the ordinary becomes an extraordinary.

Home Made Bangus Belly

My mouth was watering of this yummy Bangus Belly, while tasting these, my husband came to mind because one of his fave is Bangus Belly and I would love to come back with him soon.

Bagnet ni Kenneth -325.00

-Chef Ken's version of Ilocos Bagnet served with Pickled Mustard and Vinegar Dip. I love this Bagnet ni Keneth the taste really good, di nakakasawa. Ako yata ang pinakamaraming nakain nito. I love the sauce and the pickles.

Full Belly Beef Roast - 655

-Slow roasted Belly of Beef with AU Jus, assortment of veggies and Potato Puree.

Wing Bean Coconut Cream -200.00
-Sigarilyas cooked in Coconut Milk topped with Bagnet ni Kenneth.
These is my favorite ever! I admit that bagnet ni Kenneth was great but for me this is the yummiest for me. I love this one because its a little bit spicy, the taste was different and its more yummier because of the Sigarilyas, and its healthy. If we we're come back here I want to order this one.

Baked Cheese Cake - 200.00
-New York Style baked Cheese Cake, serve with home made bacon jam.
I also love this one, And suddenly I was thinking for my ZD boy because I know he would love this.
Brewed Iced Tea - 85.00
These Brewed Iced tea is cool, I like the blended lemon with honey. Super sulit and not too sweet katamtaman lang ang lasa.

Right after the event we always have our class pictures hehe!

Try The Pork Adobo in Woodchuck House and More!

Openrice "Eats a date" in Woodchuck House UP Diliman Quezon City.

When we entered this place the round bar in the corner welcomed us with this Mother Goose rhyme!

"How much wood could a woodchuck chuck
If a woodchuck could chuck wood?
As much wood as a woodchuck could chuck,
If a woodchuck could chuck wood".

This resto just opened 2 months ago, so napakabago palang. And they choose the "Wood Chuck House" because according to them during winter season woodchuck will dig deep just for them to find a comfy place and for them to relax, so that's it.

The place is under development, and when you see their counter is quite cute, with the small space when you order.

Outside you can see the space also and tables that you will able to enjoy the fresh air and their environment and I love the tree :)

Their specialty came from the Moms best constructed lutong bahay, the mommy of one of the owners of this resto. So when we say Lutong Bahay we should say that its common foods because we already taste it daily in our home. But in this resto I noticed and discovered twists in the recipes, but not all of the recipes hahaha, but for me I would love this 4 recipes that I have tried.

1. Pork Adobo with Mojos
This Adobo taste so good for me, not common and there is something special in the ingredients that they added on it. The pork was very well cooked and smells good.

2. Crispy Pork Sinigang (238.00)
This is my first time to try the sinigang with crispy pork. Because usually the pork we use in sinigang is the regular pork and just cook it. Their sinigang is not really sour, sakto lang because I hate subrang maasim na sinigang and this sinigang caught my taste.

3. Kareng-Kareng Baka (248.00)
This is also my first time to taste the Kareng-Kareng baka recipes because I always eat Chicken Curry hahah! But this one was so yummy and I love the butter. The taste was so good and I love it.

4. Mom's Best Bake Mac (158)
I love this Baked Macaroni it's cheesy and creamy. The pasta cooks good and I love it.

Also there are Do it yourself breakfast available here.
It's called "Do it yourself" because you can choose your meal and do it your self, yes! you can, like this Panini Bread, you can choose if you would grill or add eggs, add hotdogs, etc and make it yourself. Galing noh? Nakaka challenge din hehe. But they said na most of their costumers naman daw ayaw na sila gumawa for themselves so sila lang din ang gumagawa.

Here are some breakfast that we had tried,

Panini Do it yourself, this is a Foccaccia bread: Whole Wheat and Herbed Onion, you can add bacon, or egg, and you have an option to grill.

Hungarian Sausage, it looks great right? but for me it's salty and half-cooked.

Tapa- taste good also but nakukulangan ako sa lambot.

And also we had a chance to witness how they mixed their mocktails. And its amazing, I told myself na bago pala makarating sa baso ang mga inumin at dumaan muna sa mga procedures lol.

Open Rice Event, Lola Cafe+Bar

Nilyn of Above Precious Rubies and I were Invited for the Open Rice event in Lola Cafe+ Bar by a blogger-friend Jennie of Raising Hunter  in St. Tomas Morato Quezon City. We're excited because was our first resto-review event invite, and of course going their with our toddlers.

We met-up in Trinoma Edsa where Jennie picked us up, thanks sis Jen for the ride, and we were late! lol, yeah, because it was super traffic and we didn't know the exact place. After an hour drive, finally we found Lola Resto + bar. Thank you Lord we're safe.

The event was held at the second floor, and we arrived late so the event was almost done mabuti at nakahabol pa kami at may natira pa sa table. hahaha!

When we arrived there, the place looks so homey, and cool. This place is really good for family date, family reconciliation, family planning, friends bonding, chitchatting, group meeting, and so forth.

Aside from that, I like the space of their resto they had more tables and chairs outside if you want a breathe of the fresh air specially in the afternoon or in the evening.

I love their closed kitchen bar counter :)

The Foods...

Honestly I super duper bitin sa food na natikman ko because of my super malikot na ZD, but super sulit naman. I love the unique taste of their foods, I love all the foods not just because was hungry that time but because of the variety, the creativity and the next level of pinoy foods na talagang magugustuhan natin.

Compared to other resto foods na sometimes nakaka-umay minsan di mo nalang ubusin kasi nagsawa kana agad, this one is a place na gusto mong balik-balikan. That feeling na kala mo bahay mo because their foods are like the foods na hinahanda natin sa bahay but there is something special na talagang ma love mo at hanap-hanapin mo.

I would love to share with you for what I am talking all about. (Sorry for the photos medyo hindi na presentable ang mga foods kasi late na kami but it looks so good pa naman hahaha)

Beef Salpicao (Tenderloin Sauteed in Olive oil and Garlic)
