Dine, Travel and Explore in Pilgrim Restaurant...

Ola, days seem to fly so fast for me and it's okay because being a Stay at home mom, pag laging nasa bahay lang, subrang tagal ng araw, but I thank God that I become a member of Open Rice Ph, Open Snap and I have a chance to explore different restaurants.

This week its our third Eat's A Date Resto review in Open Rice Philippines and Open Snap in Pilgrim restaurant in Maginhawa Sikatuna Village Quezon City.

From the name "Pilgrim" for me it sounds like an "extra-ordinary" and its interesting right? So I'm so excited to discover if what's inside this resto and their concept.

Why Pilgrim?
When we say "Pilgrim" the thing that comes to our mind is Elephant right? The owner of this resto loves to travel and he loves exploring other places. Mr. Dennis Tan the Chef of these resto said that he would love to bring the specialties of foreign foods here in Philippines instead of going finding them in their places and spending money just to try those, foods he decided to bring them in the Pilgrim with low and  affordable prices.

Other Filipinos loves foreign foods, but for me I'm still loyal for the Filipino foods siguro nasanay lang talaga ako sa lutong Pinoy.

For those who are foreign food lovers there, I would love to recommend Pilgrim for you guys. I'm sure you will love and enjoy  their foods.

Dine, Travel and Explore...

CHICKEN FINGERS (180)
-with rice fingers krispies and homemade mayo. I love their home made mayo, but sorry to say that the Chicken is matabang and medyo makunat. But their mayo is really great taste.

ROASTED CHICKEN WINGS (190.00)
-I love this one, the chicken is great, I love the taste and and the topped sauce.

SHRIMP MANGO SALAD (170.00)
-This is with Paprika  Mayo Dressing, the taste of this salad is good and it also has fresh cucumber in it.

BABY BACK RIB BY MR.T (380)
-This is one of costumer's all time favorite, the meat tastes great and it's sof. It's also with home made BBQ sauce (Sidlings choose one; Parsly Rice, Roasted Potatoes, Stir Fried Veggies, Grilled Corn).

GRILLED TOMATO PASTA
-Spaghetti pasta with slices of  tomato, zucchini and spinach leaves, topped with deliciously marinated chicken. For me I think the Chicken taste good but the pasta tastes matabang na parang walang lasa.

-A classic Italian dish tossed in olive oil, garlic and dried chili made more savory sausage and bacon.

Revitalize (80.00) - coconut, wheat grass, lime and mint will take you to a different level of thirst quenching experience.

WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT THE PILGRIM RESTAURANT?

The Place
From the highway to the place of this resto it takes 15-20 mins rides, and the place its good medyo maliit lang ang space and mainit but its okay I understand because they are still developing the place and I salute of their creativity specially the interior designs. The lights are dim.

The Staff
They are accommodating and kind, ang bait ni Chef Dennis at ang sipag. I can really say that they work as a team there and they work hard just to give a good service for the costumers.

The foods
Foods are good, and maybe I'm not satisfied because as I said di ako sanay sa mga foreign na foods specially if Korean foods, Taiwan foods and so forth. Sanay kasi ako sa Pilipino foods, nasa level of adjustment pa ako. hehe! But what I love about their menu is that you're like exploring or traveling in so many places kasi nag ooffer sila ng mga food na iba't iba. Or galing sa iba't ibang country. Kung naghahanap ka ng pagkain na pang indonesian sila ang magseserve sayo, sila na ang nagdala ng mga pagkain na gusto mo na di ka gagastos ng malaki, Ang galing di ba?

I would love to recommend this to others who want to dine here. Their price is makamasa at kayang-kaya sa bulsa.

They are also Open for events, Christmas parties, etc.
Reservation is ongoing!

Open Rice Ph: Resto Review at Full Belly Craft Kitchen

The Open Rice Eat's A Date Event invited us again to visit and experience our first resto of this year. I love the location of our next Eat's a date resto review because it's accessible for us to get there.

Just two rides from my home and so far this is my first time to participate this event without my ZD bear because he fell asleep before I left the house and I missed every couple of minutes without him.

Being a Mommy Blogger, it is usual for us to attend the event with our kiddo and personally, being a mom it is more comfy for me if my kid is with me always as it's also our bonding time. Sometimes it's difficult because my ZD bear is active but it's a normal thing with kids, right? That's why I would like to apologize for the open rice staff if sometimes during the event my ZD bear is very active and loud. But as long as I can, I would manage and do the best just to make him calm and easy. I really appreciate your kindness and patience for us.

So, here we go! We arrived in Full Belly Kitchen as early as we could, and while waiting for the other bloggers and companions and while the staff are preparing our foods we had a chance to take a pictures.

The place was sakto lang, di masyadong malaki at di rin masyadong maliit ang space. The air conditioned was cool also and it's very comfortable.

The Full Belly Craft Kitchen

Look at that! I love the concept :)

"All You NEED is Love"

Interior Designs Tables
They had a second floor also and it looks like an extension hall. The combination of white brown and orange will be the color of the interior. Tables and chairs are constructed from sustainable materials. LED lights will be used for lighting. It has brighter luminance, lower consumption rate and longer shelf life. Kitchen appliance are certified for efficiency. Meat, vegetables, fish are purchased from purveyors who use sustainable practices.

And you know what, back when I worked in ABS-CBN Ayala Parking, almost everyday dumadaan ako dito pero di ko talaga napapansin to. hehe! Thank you open rice :)

After 30 minutes of waiting, other bloggers finally arrived. We started the event with Ms. Ria, they  also serve foods and also Chief Kenneth introduced us the foods and the background of this resto.

About the Full Belly Craft Kitchen

The Concept:
Full Belly Craft Kitchen is a casual dining restaurant that serves different kinds of belly in different cooking methods.

From Grilling, Roasting, Frying, Braising, to name a few, according to them, they believe that the belly is the most favorite parts of meat when it comes to cooking. Some of the recipes are classic but they decided to make the ordinary becomes an extraordinary.

Home Made Bangus Belly

My mouth was watering of this yummy Bangus Belly, while tasting these, my husband came to mind because one of his fave is Bangus Belly and I would love to come back with him soon.

Bagnet ni Kenneth -325.00

-Chef Ken's version of Ilocos Bagnet served with Pickled Mustard and Vinegar Dip. I love this Bagnet ni Keneth the taste really good, di nakakasawa. Ako yata ang pinakamaraming nakain nito. I love the sauce and the pickles.

Full Belly Beef Roast - 655

-Slow roasted Belly of Beef with AU Jus, assortment of veggies and Potato Puree.

Wing Bean Coconut Cream -200.00
-Sigarilyas cooked in Coconut Milk topped with Bagnet ni Kenneth.
These is my favorite ever! I admit that bagnet ni Kenneth was great but for me this is the yummiest for me. I love this one because its a little bit spicy, the taste was different and its more yummier because of the Sigarilyas, and its healthy. If we we're come back here I want to order this one.

Baked Cheese Cake - 200.00
-New York Style baked Cheese Cake, serve with home made bacon jam.
I also love this one, And suddenly I was thinking for my ZD boy because I know he would love this.
Brewed Iced Tea - 85.00
These Brewed Iced tea is cool, I like the blended lemon with honey. Super sulit and not too sweet katamtaman lang ang lasa.

Right after the event we always have our class pictures hehe!
