Last week Zd & I went to SM Fairview. Before anything else even though I am on and off in my blogging, I thank God because there are opportunities coming even if it is rare but I am happy. Last week, I received worth of 1,000.00 SM gift check from one of my PR posts since this month is my Zd's birthday I decided to give and buy him some t-shirts for him because most of his t-shirts do  not fit him.

He's very happy knowing that we're heading to SM. When we get there he brought the basket and chose his t-shirt and I was surprised because when I checked what he has chosen I said "Oh no! it's very expensive" I look at him and whisper "Zd you only have 1,000.00 so we need to put that back in the proper place and choose another one, yung mas mura jan, okay?" My poor Zd answered "Okay!" politely.

10 Things About Zd Boy ( Happy 3rd Birthday Zach Deuel)

Today is the 3rd birthday of our Zd bear. I thank God because He is so faithful to my son and for always being there for him since the day I gave him birth until today.

Way back the day I conceived him I feel so blessed because when he came into our lives of Lemuel he means a lot to us.

Being a mom every other year of our son is the another year of  blessings and achievement. I am so thankful and grateful for another year that God added to my son Zach Deuel. March 25, 2017 he turned 3 and I am so happy because he passed this three years with the good health and still active little guy.

Being always there by his side for three years has taught me so many lessons and made me a better person. Even his father is far from us, still as long as I can, I will do the rest of the responsibilities for his papa.

Most moms, neighbors, church mates, and friends always tell me that they really appreciate my energy and my patience for my son. If you know him personally, you will know what I am trying to say.

Let's know more about Zd, and let me share this 10 things about Zd

Supporting Toddler Milestone with Groupon

 Disclosure:
This is a sponsored post, all opinions below
are mine through my personal experienced.

Motherhood is a gift from God. Being a mother is exciting, even though sometimes it's tough but the mothers love is patient and unconditional. Being a mother, I always look after my child specially in his daily needs. A mother's responsibility to her children is make them happy and guide them in to the right path. Teaching them a good moral and conduct, how to mingle with others, developing their socialization and teaching them about the word of God for theirs spiritual aspect.
My toddler

Having a child is a blessing so it's a responsibility to the parents to provide their basic daily needs. Raising a child means needing a budget for their food, clothing, check-up, medicines and vitamins. I always do my best to ensure that my toddler is protected from the products that I'm going to use. I am clever for our consistency providing the needs. I want my toddler feel comfortable and happy. I want him growing up  enjoying his childhood that I never been experienced before when I was a child because my parents were poor and every time I have something I wanted to buy like doll or toys, it's hard for them to buy because of a very tight budget. But I thank my parents because even if we are not rich materially but we are rich in love and integrity.

Supporting my toddler's milestone needs a budget specially when it comes to buying his educational toys, books and other educational materials for him in our home as he starts his journey. But did you know I found the right track that offers great deals in groupon goods? I am excited for these groupon goods to be my toddler's milestone partner because their site is user friendly. More great choices in groupon goods plus hassle free in purchasing goods no more ado's when you registering in groupon goods website.

Right now I know how to handle my budget in purchasing educational materials for my toddler because groupon goods has many available items not just educational toys but also other stuff for our kids and all the goods we need with low prices.

My zd's first Operation

It was Sunday afternoon, after our church service, when we opened the door, the neighbor's cat was approaching running straight and jumped up our family picture frame. The frame was broken and the frame glass are broke into small pieces! My Zd bear was there, Lemuel and I were clean the mess and made sure that nothing was left on the floor.

After a couple of minutes my zd bear went the area without his slipper and suddenly, he pointed on his left foot. When my husband checked his foot there's a broken piece of glass inside and my husband got it out.

After a week my toddler kept running and playing. One Friday morning after his bath, my husband checked his wound and he was surprised when we saw his wound na namamaga na and may nana na, we decided to take him to his pedia. When we got there the Doctor said that we need to operate him.

So the doctor started to give him an anesthesia. I think it's about 3 boosters of anesthesia. I really felt the pain he felt while my poor  Zd was crying while he was being operated. And while we're hugging him I prayed to God, said sorry for what happened. I told myself that I promise to be watchful and alert for my Zd. Though it's not our fault but I know this is a lesson for us to learn.

After his operation I told my zd boy, "zd boy it's okay na" and he replied "okay na! bye! bye!"
The doctor gave him an anti-tetanus booster and antibiotics and referral for his x-ray.

I thank God that everything is well. After this experience, I realized that being a mother is really hard. Being a first mum, when your child encounter some circumstances that really makes you a better parents. And every experience that I've been through has always a lesson.

What is your unforgettable experience with your child?

ZD's 2nd Time Almost Convulsion Experience

"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me".

~John 14:1

One night, my body wanted to sleep and rest so at 7:00pm my Zd and I were going to sleep. After our night routine, reading Bible story and praying, exchange words ("good night Zd", "good night mama", I love you Zd", I love you mama" and hug each other) I turned the lights off and had a good night sleep.

After eight hours of sound sleeping, at 3:00 am I noticed that my Zd bear keep hugging me and I was not comfortable. I felt that there is something wrong. I woke up and turned on the light, checked my Zd boy and to my surprise, he was chilling and very pale his red lips turned almost white and he had really dark eye bags. I checked his toes and feet, they were all pale!

While looking at my kid I remembered, when Zd experience this the first, my mother would just get the vinegar and put it on his whole body and under arms and after couple of minutes, I think it's about 5-10 minutes lumabas ang init ng katawan ni Zd bear at unti-unting nawala ang panginginig nya.

I thought that experience would not happen to him again, unfortunately, it did. I grabbed Zd boy immediately and got his Paracetamol on my medicine kit, I had no time to check his temperature. But sadly, we didn't have a vinegar! I wrapped Zd boy in a blanket and we went going outside at 3:am running to find vinegar. But I almost cried kasi sarado pa lahat ng tindahan at naalala ko na may tindahan pala na mas malapit samin. I knocked the door without thinking na makadisturbo ako, kasi ang iniisip ko is malagyan agad si Zd ng vinegar. I thanked God when the door opened. Nanay Kareng gave a vinegar and put it on ZD's body, after a few minutes unti unting lumabas ang init ng katawan nya at nawala na ang panginginig nya at unti unti nawala ang pamumutla nya.

After this experience happened, I thank God because He gave me wisdom to stay focused instead of panic. I knew what to do because of His guidance.

If you ask me why why my mother used vinegar before and why it worked? I have no idea. But this is amazing because it's proven and tested. Right now my Zd bear is okay and doing well.

The Word of God says that "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God;"

Did you experience that your kid is suddenly had convulsion? What did you do?
Thanks mommies for sharing!

My Personal Experienced on How to Introduce Fruits to my ZD Bear

I'm a first time mom, and I would like to share with you on how I introduced fruits to my ZD bear.
My Zd bear is a picky eater, he loves to eat if he likes  the foods. Like you, it's tough for me to find what is the right food to give my Zd. But, as long as I can I want him to eat a healthy food just for him to maintain his daily diets.

My Zd bear started eating cereal when he was 4 months old. I tried the grilled rice with monggo and its really good for him. We know that four to six months old are the best time to start or introduce the solid foods for our child, it's because their digestive system can ready and handle solids.  But every child is unique and different I can't tell that your child also can start to solid foods as early as four months old like my ZD.

Zd's first fruit was the Canistel fruit. We have this fruit in our province when Zd was 4 months old. I still remember when I was still pregnant, every morning I walk along the farm and I always stare this Canistel fruit tree standing beside the road bearing the color yellow fruit that I really wanted to collect them all. If I were not a pregnant I'm sure I climbed it already and harvest all the fruits of
Canistel hahah!

Canistel Fruit (this photo was  taken last 2014)

What is Canistel fruit?
According to the wikipedia, the canistel grows up to 10 meters (33 ft) high, and produces orange-yellow fruit, also called yellow sapote, up to 7 centimeters (2.8 in) long, which are edible raw. Canistel flesh is sweet, with a texture often compared to that of a hard-boiled egg yolk, hence its colloquial name "eggfruit"

Nutritional Value:
Canistels are rich in niacin and carotene and have a fair amount of ascorbic acid. 100 g. of edible fruit contains 138 calories, 2 g protein, .13 g. fat, .10 g fiber and 36.69g carbohydrates. It also yields 26.5 mg calcium, 37.3 mg phosphorus, 32 mg carotene, 3.7 mg niacin and 58.1 mg vitamin C.

Here are some tips on how to introduce fruits to your child.

1. Let him/her taste
When my Zd is four months old, I let him taste all kinds of the fruits that we have in the house. The first fruit he tasted was the Canistel fruit. And I don't know if you're familiar on that fruit and he likes it. Second was mango and ponkan. I noticed that my Zd likes the fruits, specially those juicy fruits like mango, orange, water melon, pineapple and so forth through the reaction of his face and it's very exciting.

2. Give him  at least one fruit a day
Everyday I gave at-least one fruit a day for my ZD, why one? My reason is because sometimes my Zd bear has an allergic of some watery fruits so I tried the other one. Second, ayaw kong halo-halo ang kinakain nya na fruits a day and will cause him a stomach ache.

And as long as I can it is better to give my child at least 1 piece of fruit instead of giving him a candy, a biscuit, Ice cream. It's more healthy than that.

ZD bear loves the Grapes

3. Bring him on the fruit-stand
Every time I buy fruits I want to buy with my Zd and let him choose what he want and let him pick. And I discover that my Zd enjoys the fruits and he is excited. Bringing your child to the fruit stand since we don't have a fruit tree here in the city helps the child to explore and
get to know about more fruits.

The Papaya

4. Learning while enjoying the fruits
While my Zd's  enjoying the fruits he is learning too. I involved him in preparation and during the presentation I teach him  the name of the fruits, the colors, the shapes and the taste of the fruits.

The Apple
5. Don't force your kid to eat that so
Some kids are fussy with fruits and some are not. Moms may worry if their child will not to eat fruits or veggies from time to time.  But don't worry its not harmful. In the right time your kid will eat that fruit also. Don't force them to eat because it will cause them to hate the fruits but try to encourage them as well.

Banana while talking to his papa
Before giving your child the fruits make sure it's clean, wash all the fruits. Guide your kid to reduce the risk of choking.

Fruits offer our child a variety of vitamins such as folic acids and Vitamins C. The benefits of eating fruits also it helps our kid to reduce the risk of cancers and heart disease.

Introducing fruits to your kids is like introducing vegetables also. Sometimes its tough but the best way that we can is to enjoy the fruits as a daily part of our whole family's diet.

Happy Kiddo!
So what are your child's favorite fruits?
I am excited to share it below momies :)
Thank you and have a nice day!

The A, B, K, D (Action Baranggay Kontra Dengue)

Dengue on the rise 55,000 reported cases so far in 2015,This is higher than the 50,462 recorded cases during the same period in 2014. The Department of Health (DOH) has recorded 55,079 suspected dengue cases from January 1 to August 8, 2015 according to the news last week.

(Source: Google Mosquito Pic Search}

Dengue is a common viral infection spread by mosquitoes. I'm aware of this because when I heard this from the news that there's lots of patients from the area of Cavite to Bulacan are. The DOH (Department of Health) said  that the  province of Bulacan and Cavite were placed under a state of calamity due to the rising number of dengue cases.

We have a 4-yr old neighbor here who's affected by the dengue and his nose was bleeding. They rushed him to the hospital. So I am scared because if it's my neighbor, then it means near at home (of course! lol). Although I always clean our house and always spray it for mosquitoes killers, when we go outside there's a chance that my ZD will be bitten by a mosquito. Oh, just the thought of that makes me so worried. Hay nakakaloka talaga!

That's why we used mosquito net at night para sure. Then everyday nag spray ako. Prevention is better than cure.

The good thing,  our baranggay has new program called "ABKD" (Action Baranggay Kontra Dengue). Our kapitbahay called that as "PAUSOK PARA SA LAMOK"  hahaha!

Early  in the morning when I bought something our breakfast I saw these brgy. workers - nag house to house sila para pausukan ang mga bahay, I was so happy because of it kasi it's really a big help for us specially to our community to avoid dengue.

Here are some photos taken:

Thank you to all the baranggay workers for the efforts and your service :) Mabuhay kayo!!

Prevention is Better than Cure:

There is no vaccine available against dengue, and there are no specific medications to treat a dengue infection.

The best way to reduce mosquitoes is to eliminate the places where the mosquito lays her eggs, like artificial containers that hold water in and around the home. Outdoors, clean water containers like pet and animal watering containers, flower planter dishes or cover water storage barrels.  Look for standing water indoors such as in vases with fresh flowers and clean at least once a week.

Thank you for reading, keep safe all and God bless!

WHY SO ACTIVE BABY?

Everyday, my struggle is ZD's hyperactivity. And the never ending question that I ask myself is: "why he is very active? Where does his energy come from? Or is it because my husband and I are  both sporty and active that's why our son is like this? or is it because of the vitamins he intakes everyday or the vitamins that I intake during my pregnancy period?" Too many questions in mind that remains unanswered! Imagine, even the cockroach at home, my ZD enjoys killing it! So I ask: "hey cockroach why is ZD boy is so active today? What's goin on?". Then my ZD would reply: "Coach! coach!" hahaha!! ) Have you ever asked yourself about your child's behavior?

ZD looks like "di makabasag pinggan" ang dating hahaha!
Everyday is a tiring day for me specially when we're going outside because he is very active. It is better for us to stay at home and so that I can manage to watch him. I know that hyperactivity is a normal behavior for boys specially if they're on their stage now because they're  curious about new things and they want to explore and enjoy there motor skills to explore everywhere. But one thing I asked myself why he so active baby?

No comment (Ugh!!!)

I did some research about hyperactivity and I would like to shout it out to other mommies like me :)

WHAT IS HYPERACTIVITY?
When someone says a kid is hyperactive, it can be a sign that the kid might have ADHD. ADHD stands for a condition called attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

Kids with ADHD have problems paying attention and sitting still in their seats, and they can be impulsive, which means doing things without thinking about the results. This can cause problems like getting hurt. Some kids who have ADHD can have difficulty in school. Some might have trouble making friends.

ADHD is something a kid is born with. It is not something like the flu that you can catch from someone. A kid has a greater chance of being born with ADHD if he or she has a relative who has ADHD.

What Are the Signs of ADHD?
ADHD can cause kids to act in different ways, depending on the kid who has it. Most kids with ADHD have problems concentrating and paying attention. Some also might have trouble sitting still in class and waiting for their turn. They might yell out the answers before other kids have a chance to raise their hands.

Sometimes they can be disorganized, distracted, or forgetful. They tend to daydream in class. They might lose things and have trouble finishing assignments. They may wiggle around in their seats, move around a lot, talk too much, or interrupt other people's conversations.

It's important to remember that everybody does these things once in a while. If you do them sometimes, it doesn't mean you have ADHD. Kids with ADHD have these problems most or all of the time. This can cause them to have problems both at home and at school.

Kids with ADHD can become worried, frustrated, angry, and sad. Kids need to know that ADHD is a medical problem that can be treated.

Symptoms in Children
Symptoms are grouped into three categories:

Inattention. A child with ADHD:

Is easily distracted
Doesn't follow directions or finish tasks
Doesn't appear to be listening
Doesn't pay attention and makes careless mistakes
Forgets about daily activities
Has problems organizing daily tasks
Doesn’t like to do things that require sitting still
Often loses things
Tends to daydream

Hyperactivity. A child with ADHD:
Often squirms, fidgets, or bounces when sitting
Doesn't stay seated
Has trouble playing quietly
Is always moving, such as running or climbing on things (In teens and adults, this is more commonly described as restlessness.)
Talks excessively
Is always “on the go” as if “driven by a motor”

Impulsivity. A child with ADHD:
Has trouble waiting for his or her turn
Blurts out answers
Interrupts others

After reading some articles about hyperactivity and the following symptoms, I enumerated zd's turns. hahaha!
1. Doesn't stay seated
2. Is always moving, such as running or climbing on things

(Gosh) I'm thankful because my ZD is not candidate for ADHD, haha! I know my zd has a problem paying attention but it's not yet confirmed because he is too young right now to tell that he has ADHD symptoms. I think he is just super active like his father that you will not see him being relaxed, he always has something to do - in short he is restless lol! But I'm always thinking the solution to this problem with my toddler to lessen his being active everyday is to always involve him in my daily routine. I made him my partner kasi nga dalawa lang kami lagi ang magkasama sa bahay. If nagwawalis ako he also get the other one and help me, when I'm the bath room naglalaba tumutulong din sya, pag nagtutupi ako ng mga damit sya naman taga sira haha! At pag nag aarange ako ng mga hanger sya naman taga abot.  So in that way na aaply yong pagka active nya in a good way and it is part of his training also. Because if I let him to be like that nalang na hala takbo dito takbo don, akyat dito akyat don baka masanay siya.

Sometimes if nag ta-trantum naman sya mabilis lang din mawala unlike the other children na matagal at wala naman akong problem about tantrums.

ZD boy naman has a sense of humor! I'm just kidding hahaha! If you will stop him for being active he will listen naman (sometimes) lol! Basta what all I can say is he's very active lang talaga.

What is your struggle and difficulties about your child's behavior?
I'm glad to hear from you mommies by sharing it below.
Thank you!
