Please Pray Marawi City Philippines

I'm not too educated about our government here in the Philippines, terorist, ISIS, NPA, rebellion people against the government, or kung ano pa man ang mga pinaglalaban nila. But last week until now while watching news on the television I can feel the fear and pain of our fellow Filipinos who suffered and were trapped by chaos in Marawi Mindanao  because of MAUTE group.

May 23, 2017 on 10 p.m  President Rodrigo Duterte declared Martial Law for the entire Mindanao because MAUTE group attacked Marawi City. The Maute group entered the city and they ateempted to take over the hospital, burning some of buildings, raising and flying the flag of ISIS or Islamic State of Iraq and Syria inside the city of Marawi.

On that day when the clashes started between the army and militants of the maute group the Filipino priest, father Chito or Teresito Suganob was abducted by the maute group with 15 parishioners and until now they're still in the hands of the terrorist group but the reporters are not sure if the others are still alive or dead.

About 80 to 90 percent of the people who live in the City evacuated to Iligan and some to other places that are safe. But some of them are still inside of the city because the group wouldn't allow them to leave and made them a human shield from the troop against to our soldiers.

Until today our Filipino soldiers still work hard to solve this problem as soon as possible. It's hard for them to get closer to the group because these terrorist were in the good target position with their snipers.

If you can see those people who are trying to save their family leaving their home and go to other city do you know how it feels? While carrying their bags and children while they're starving? My heart is broken.

The damage and the numbers of casualties from these war are cumulative everyday. Our soldiers sacrifice their lives for our country. The civilians who are affected by this war are still in trauma. They can't live their lives with their family with the normal one. Some of them are already dead and some of them are still inside their houses trembling while outside is like a ghost town.

While I am meditating on what's going on in Marawi our President knows what's best. I don't want to get affected by him declaring Martial law because I know that God gave him wisdom to do the right thing to protect his people.

The only thing that I can do right now is to PRAY for our country, for our soldiers who are fighting against Maute group and saving Marawi City that God will continue to protect them. Pray for the people who are experiencing difficulty and for safety that I hope that God will provide their needs especially foods. Praying those people who are bashing our president because of his declaration of Martial law that I hope they will see the reality happening in Marawi. That God will open their eyes and see the needs of our brothers and sisters there. I hope that instead of making rally and noise just to stop the Martial law they will making noise of prayers. I'm also praying that God will give courage for the President to face this challenge of his country and God will guide his all decisions.

"if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land". 2 Chronicles 7:14

What's on your mind right now? Can you offer a single minute of PRAYER for the Marawi?

  5. Hay, as much as possible, I don't watch the news na din talaga since most are either alarming or depressing. Pero with what's happening in Marawi, one cannot be insensitive e. My heart goes to the kids talaga. They are the most affected yet the one na wala namang ginawang mali. I'm with you in praying not only for them but for the rest of the country.

  7. Our country had seen better days, and I always pray that somehow, Filipinos will be truly united. Lahat naman ng countries may corrupt leaders, but not majority. Sadly, in our country, it's the opposite.
